One of the flagship projects of our oversized Forwarding Department in April was transport of three elements of the bridge from the Czech Republic to central Sweden – city Delsbo. The whole route was more than 2,000 km and apart from the former public road transport also combined with the ferry.
Each of the transported steel structure had a length of about 30 meters. The whole set together with a cargo weighing nearly 60 tons and had a length of approx. 34 meters.
For logistic reasons, the transport takes place in two rounds, and ferries were held in the port of Gdansk and Swinoujscie.
It is worth noting that the transport took place in three different countries (Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden), which resulted in obtaining permits and approvals for the passage of road managers and the authorities of each country.
